Casey: I completely understand the importance of Note-taking on student learning. The kind of notes a student takes can easily hinder the ease of learning or help the ease of learning. You mention that notes should not be in paragraph form because they cant be edited, but why does it matter if it helps the student fully understand better? When studing I would read the chapter and summarize it into a paragraph, it didn't allow be to add information but it gave me a full understanding. It forced me to read, understand, and explain my understanding on paper.
Ebby- Similarities and Differences work kind of like Advanced Organizers. They force the student to think thoroughly about the concept and analyze it in reference to other concepts. You must not only know the defination, but also understand the concept and be able to apply it to other concepts.
Tuyen- I understand the importance of similarites and differeneces in learning but i dont understand how it is related to cognitive theory of learning?
